Samuel Zürcher

Samuel Zürcher is the founder and architect of FLAIMS, the operating system for the organisation of tomorrow. He has been in business since 1997 and a founder and CEO since 2011. Today he is Group CEO of Beyond Experts AG, the parent company of Experts Inside (Microsoft 365, Azure and Copilot consulting), where every FLAIMS pillar was field-tested before it had a name.

His roots are in business informatics; for eleven years he was a Microsoft MVP (2011 to 2022) and is a certified Agile Leader and PERMA-Lead coach. An early fascination with psychology, now deepened by his ongoing master's studies, has steadily moved his work to the seam between people and systems. A doctorate in leadership and organizational design is planned next, focused on the still under-researched space between top-down control and full self-organization. His core conviction is an uncomfortable one: most leaders don't lead, they manage, they steer processes and roll out one framework after another, and then wonder why their teams execute without thinking. FLAIMS is his answer: a deliberate third path between rigid hierarchy and shapeless self-organization, with human-centered AI as infrastructure rather than a private hack on individual laptops.

Here he writes about leadership as a craft, accountability without blame, and what it actually takes to build a firm that is fast, clear and intelligent at the same time. His book, Eigenverantwortung ist Freiheit, is released in late 2026.

At home in Switzerland. When he isn't working, he is usually hanging under a paraglider, sitting on a motorcycle or somewhere out on the water, fittingly most at home on the edge of what's possible.
